Alcazar Aeiden del Mar was designed by local architect Sandra Gonzalez who modeled the
structure after the sellers wishes to have a mid-century modern concept that brought Palm
Springs, CA to the Pacific Ocean and the ocean to the desert. Built in 2023, the 2047sq foot
living areas along with the 410sq foot double car garage sits on a LAND LEASED lot that
occupies 3,713.55sq feet. The lot offers immediate access to a 2.6mile beach with 180 degree
ocean views from every room.
The house was designed to focus on entertaining with two large, open area living sections,
which emphasize the ocean view as well as more intimate gathering around a custom
designed electric fireplace. Three two ton mini-splits (dual inverters) cool and heat the
house also aiding in de-humidification of the living areas. However, the ocean breezes are
constant and help to cool the interior of the house through the many sliding glass doors
and windows.
The entrance door was specially designed and constructed to serve as a window to the sea
and pivots rather than hinges on the frame. Listed are some of the many aspects of the
