Over the years we have sold a number of homes in Real del Mar. It is a great place to live, tranquil and very well unkempt. Real del Mar is one of our favorite locations and this home is our favorite of them all.
As it is said over and over, when it comes to real estate it is all about three things. Location, location and location. This home inside of Real del Mar (which is the first part of the location) has one of the best locations as it maximizes the views and tranquility. A very quiet street to live on.
The house sits above the golf course, with an unobstructed view of the ocean as a valley where the golf course is, continues to the ocean. When you sit out on either of the two oversized terraces with views. The peace and tranquility you will feel is amazing. The upper terrace is off the main living area of the kitchen, dining and living area, with a very nice outdoor kitchen.
The lower terrace is off two of the three bedrooms, which also has a 6 person jacuzzi on it. All three bedrooms are spacious, and the master has a fireplace in it as well as one in the master bathroom. The shower area of the bathroom is to die for. Both bedrooms opening to the terrace have a lot of windows for natural light. The entire home is loaded with windows, Natural light is not a problem in this home.
The main living area, it is spacious and open with 15 foot vaulted wood beam ceilings. Because there are no walls, and the high ceilings, it seems much bigger than it is, with a half bath. There is also a landing area when you first come into the home.
above this area is a lighthouse sort of room. As with the rest of the home, it has windows everywhere, which gives you ocean and golf course views and functions as a 4th bedroom and the wife’s creative room. Plus, a few exercise bikes. It also has a full, very unique bathroom.
Now for the court yard when entering. As you come through the gate you will find a 2 stall garage on the left side and an area the wife uses as a small business to do hair on the right. It could also be a maids area as it has a full bath. And above this is a full sized 1 bedroom apartment to rent out. They currently have the perfect tenant in it who would love to stay if you want him.
Last description but not least. And it seems I described this house backwards from bottom to top, but it is hard to know where to start, as it is all special. The courtyard is best described by the pictures. A very large open space, tastefully decorated with once again a lot of cool lighting when the sun goes down.
The home flows nicely, and is extremely well built. The home is around 20 years old without a single crack in it, proving the foundation is built correctly. I have to say the architect is one of the best, both in design and quality. This home is as sound of an investment as you can make, to go along with the beauty and comfort.
